Donation to Art Unleashed Auction

July 15, 2008

Rummage has donated this piece, which measures 13″ x 18″ and was created from a vintage educational flash card (framed in clear plexiglass so information on reverse remains visible),  to Art Unleashed, an art show and auction to benefit homeless pets.  It’s a worthy cause and lots of great artists are contributing, so please check it out if you get a chance (and bid on our piece)!

ARTunleashed has been an amazing event in which we were able to raise over $50,000 for needy pets in the past two years! We would like to thank our generous sponsors, artists, patrons, and committee for helping make this event such an overwhelming success.

The spay/neuter programs of FCNMHP are the cornerstones of local efforts to end the killing of homeless pets in our community. Without the support of our community and business partners we could not maintain these vital programs. The monies raised ensures that we can continue our efforts toward a day when there truly are No More Homeless Pets.

BACKGROUND:
There are many animal lovers in our community who are completely unaware of the pet overpopulation crisis here on the First Coast. The number of pets entering our local shelters is overwhelming.  60-120 adoptable dogs and cats are killed every day simply due to space limitations in overcrowded shelters. This is a problem we can and have to solve!
FCNMHP is committed to ending this crisis through the only real solution – sterilization, adoption and education.  All monies raised from this event will go toward these three programs and directly affect our community’s pets.  Join us and become a part of the solution!
